10th Anniversary meeting and celebration!
To officially welcome participants to the 10th anniversary meeting, the Alaska Native
Harbor Seal Commission (ANHSC) and Indigenous People’s Council on Marine Mammals
(IPCoMM) hosted a traditional meal. Monica Riedel, Executive Director, of the ANHSC,
welcomes, Dr. Lora Johnson, Executive Director of the Chugach Museum and Institute of
History and Art to speak to the group on the Historical and traditional uses of seals.
The Tlingit and Haida Dancers performed and an excellent time was had by all! We all
enjoyed plenty of great food and entertainment!
